The Xdrop platform uses microfluidics technology to encapsulate biomolecules in double-emulsion droplets. This approach enables a wide range of single cell functional assays and genomic analyses. Compatible with both flow cytometers and sorters, Xdrop offers a versatile solution for molecular analysis.
The Xdrop and Xdrop Sort are droplet microfluidics instruments capable of compartmentalizing single cells in droplets. Cells can be cultured and assayed within the droplets, retaining any secreted proteins or molecules. Uniquely, our platform enables the analysis and sorting of these droplets on flow cytometer and sorters, making it ideal for cell function assays.
Xdrop technology specializes in double emulsion droplet generation. These droplets are dispersed in an aqueous phase, ensuring compatibility with flow cytometers. This significantly broadens the range of assays achievable, enabling the analysis of secreted antibodies, cytokines, and other proteins, all confined within the droplets. It also facilitates the analysis of cell-cell interactions and cell killing assays, empowering the field of immunotherapy
